Park Jiyeon Won Again

Park Jiyeon (2 dan) the second player of Female team at the 4th GG Auction Cup bring her team one step closer to victory by defeating Jang Sooyong (9 dan) today.



The game was very territory oriented. Black set a big moyo early in the game. White invaded the moyo starting with the probe at move 34. At move 81, black played K1 to connect her group. I wonder why she didn't play M1. Perhaps I miss a variation where black will get caught if she played M1.

White's invading group survived from black's strong attack. In return, black got a big influence toward center and Park successfully convert the influence into territory. She won the game by 4.5 points.
