Park Jieun Won Qionglong Cup

Park Jieun (9 dan) of Korea once again showed her power in international stage. She won the first Qionglong Cup, an all female tournament that was held from September 11-14 in China.

She met Hei Jiajia a.k.a Joanne Missingham(1 dan) of Australia at the final and won by resignation.

Eventhough Park won the championship, the spotlight seems to go to the 16 year old Joanne who impressed everyone with her performance during the tournament. She beat players who are stronger and have more experience than her.

New International Tournament: Qionglong Cup

There is a new international tournament will be held from September 11-14. The tournament is open only for female players. It's called "Qionglong Cup".

Firts prize is 200,000 RMB, second 70,000. this is a knock-out tournament with 16 players. Rui Naiwei obtained a wild card, while in Korea, China and Taiwan,a preliminary tournament were held.

In Taiwan the winner was Hei Jiajia, but due the absence of a minor Association, she participated on behalf of Australia; the players from second to fourth place in the Taiwanese preliminary waived to participate. Zhang Kaixin became the representative of Taiwan.
