Kim Soojin Took the Wheel

After two consecutive blows to the Female team at the 4th GG Auction Cup, Kim Soojin (3 dan) managed to get the ship's wheel back to the girls' favor.

Kim challenged Senior team's representative, Jimmy Cha, who previously beat Park Jiyeon and Choi Jung of Female team. The game opened by Jimmy Cha playing the Kobayashi opening. After handling white's invasion at H3, black played a peep at R9 and then S7. The shape is kinda strange after the sequence up to move 79.

Kim Soojin showed quite an instructive game by handling black's tsuke at move 105. Black stubbornly tried to get his group out, however Kim showed that her calculation was correct. Black's 12 stones invading group successfully killed by Kim Soojin. The rest of game is easy for white since black didn't have many territories and his moyo at the bottom side is not perfect due to Q6 group. White won the game by 12.5 points.

Tomorrow Kim Soojin will be challenged by, no less than, Seo Bongsoo who was known as "gang of four" (along with Cho Hunhyun, Lee Changho, and Yoo Changhyuk) who dominated the Korean go scene at the 90s.

Hi honey. I won ^o^

Here is the game record:
