Gu Li Stormed Game 4 Out

After a big upset at the previous game, Gu Li showed what he was made from and stormed game 4 out to balance the score to 2-2.

The fourth game was, again, full of battle. The cut at white 20 already brought the first fight. White successfully captured the corner, while black got an influence. The opening was favorable for Lee and soon people thought that Lee would win the championship, but Gu Li proved that it was too soon.

White 146 was an excellent move. It helped white to attack black's big group at the right side and soon white trapped that group. However, Hong Sungji, the commentator, said Lee made a mistake by playing White 172, where it should be placed at black 185. Black took advantage of this to make a great sequence at the upper left corner and finally captured 8 white stones to set the group free and took the lead. Lee resigned at move 273.

The final game will be played tomorrow (April 28). Whoever win that game, will bring 300 million Won (around $275,500) home.
