Jiang Weijie Challenges Gu Li

After Winning the first game by resignation, Jiang Weijie found himself close to become this year Mingren challenger. However, Li Zhe was able to win the second game by a mere 0.5 point. Ten days later, they met for the third and last game to decide who will challenge Gu Li for this year Mingren.

Jiang Weijie (5 dan) once again outplayed Li Zhe and won the game by resignation thus won the right to become the 23rd Mingren Challenger.

Jiang Weijie Won Game 1

The 23rd Chinese Mingren Cup is in its last stage before the title match. Two players, Jiang Weijie (5 dan) and Li Zhe (6 dan), brawl to determine who will challenge Gu Li in a 5 games title match.

Jiang Weijie took the first game by resignation. White played a hane at move 134 and eventually killed black's group. I personally think black should nobi at move 131.
